special needs scholarship

The Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Act (Senate Bill 10) is a  law that allows students currently enrolled in a public school, and who have a current IEP (Individual Education Plan) to apply to any private school meeting state criteria for enrollment.

Students that are eligible for state funding will receive funds to be applied toward tuition.

Thank you for your interest in Chatham Academy. It is our wish to make the process for application to Chatham Academy as enjoyable an experience as possible for you and your child. Do not hesitate to contact us with your comments, concerns, or questions. We appreciate the time, effort, and care you take to help us “make a match” between Chatham Academy and your family.

In order for your child to be considered for enrollment at Chatham Academy we must have a current (within three years) battery of psycho-educational testing, (intelligence, cognitive, and achievement) and current school records. Once all records have been received, a parent interview and placement testing will be scheduled. There is a $50 application fee. Formal acceptance depends upon a review of all the above information. Students are considered on the basis of psycho-educational assessment, interviews with parents and student, school records, placement testing, and the ability to benefit from our specialized curricula and programming.
