Academy has undergone incredible changes as a
result of the long range strategic plan. We have
conducted a coordinated well thought out
marketing plan to improve our image and educate
the general community about the life-changing
and incredibly important work that we do at
Royce. Our Development Office has doubled in
size and has reached record levels of
fundraising this past year. Our Annual Fund more
than doubled the original goal and The Benefit
not only blew the top off of its goal but is now
the talk of the town and the place to be seen
among organizational fundraisers."

The Development
Office is the clearinghouse for the fund-raising
activities of Chatham Academy. The Director of
Development is responsible for providing
administrative direction for the following
activities:
Coordinate all such fund
raising efforts as may involve the
several constituencies
(alumnae/i, friends, parents,
corporations, private foundations) of
Chatham Academy by matching donor
interests with specific funding
opportunities so that prospects and
donors are not solicited by multiple
entities with Chatham Academy;
Undertake research on
prospects and donors so as to identify
interests and to
maintain confidentiality with regard to
research findings and donor records;
Oversee and monitor such
solicitations of as may be authorized by
the board of
Trustees and/or the administration
(e.g., the Annual Fund solicitation,
United Way campaign and any capital
campaign)
